Creative FilmBuilding - the teambuilding in film studios was meant to facilitate forming stage of team development and to clarify goals and strategies through incorporating them into script.
Event objectives
The company had to create a new functioning and efficient team out of existing employees. The objective of the event was to bring those team members together, make them realise that since that moment onwards they will work together on achieving common goals, which they all have to contribute to.
Tell us more about your planning strategy, objectives and execution?
The main idea of the teambuilding was making a team movie, which would introduce new CorSo team, new team goals and all colleagues. Filmbuilding created by Creative Pro s.r.o., took place at unconventional and commercially inaccessible film studios of Media Pro Entertainment Slovakia Company (TV Markiza), where the most famous Slovak TV series are made. Swiss Re team experienced something unique - they shot their own movie and became the main characters in their own CorSo movie! Filmbuilding fully engaged Swiss Re company team into film production process. Every scene communicated specific team goal or company value in funny film story, where at the end the boss Mr. CorSo appeared. Every member of team chose its scene and costume. The employees as main characters showed their acting skills and after shooting was over they have experienced real film crew catering. The familiarity of scenes has helped with creation of relaxed atmosphere and uniqueness of the environment has emphasized on the feeling that the participants were especially chosen. Every character equally contributed to the story. The variety of seemingly unrelated scenes were utilized (e.g. kitchen, workshop) which reflected the variety of backgrounds participants were coming from (e.g. different countries, departments). There was only one linking motive between them, which was revealed during final scene and all the scenes started to get sense. The other peculiarity of the event was the fact that it was recorded using single track method, which was expressing need for all to work at the same time on given tasks and putting all their work together, they will be able to see "bigger picture".
What were the actual results you achieved with your event? How do you evaluate your industry or social contribution?
Filmbuilding was the first task team has accomplished - for the first time they have experienced working together towards common goal. They enhanced their understanding of company values and team goals. The good team spirit was noticeable during whole event. The filmbuilding peaked in 10 minutes long movie pre premiere, which took place almost immediately after shooting.One week later all participants obtained DVD with actual movie and making-of film to remind them of this spectacular experience
